Through one-on-one counseling, we will explore your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, and work towards increasing self-awareness, identifying and re-framing negative thoughts, and develop strategies to decrease symptoms to work towards living the life you want. I provide counseling for the following common issues:
You may feel consumed with panic, fear, stress, and worry that can be paralyzing. Your invasive or self-defeating beliefs may cycle, causing you to avoid people, places, or events. Your anxiety can lead you to feeling stuck. Through individual counseling, we can work to challenge any worries and develop a plan toward clarity, confidence, and a sense of calm.
It’s easy for our confidence and self-esteem to be affected by all that goes on around us, whether that be constantly comparing ourselves to others, rejections and disappointments, or just truly fighting an internal battle that seems impossible to win. Often our self-esteem keeps us from not only living in our full potential, but it sometimes blocks us from even seeing what that looks like. In working through issues related to self-esteem, we identify the root cause and begin to let go of any thoughts or patterns of behaviors that keep us from living our best lives.
Teen and Adolescent Issues
Teenage years can be challenging, confusing, and full of growth. This time may be filled with struggles to fit in, self-confidence, keeping up with peer expectations, conflict with parents, peer relationships, and constant comparisons to what’s seen on social media. In building a strong relationship and providing a non-biased, listening ear, it is my passion to aid teenagers in finding their voice, uncovering their strengths, increasing confidence, and developing healthy and important skills to support them as they grow into adults.
